Elie Wurtman is an investor, entrepreneur, co-founder and managing partner of PICO Venture Partners, an early stage venture capital fund headquartered in Jerusalem. Since launching his first company in 1993, Elie took 3 companies from founding to IPO. Elie is the founder of PICO Kids, a social enterprise focused on 21st century skills, values and STEM education for children in Jerusalem’s diverse communities. He is an Aspen Institute Global Leadership Fellow and holds degrees from Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary.

Meidan Alkobi

Managing Director 

  

Meidan Alkobi is the Managing Director of PICO Kids. He focuses on the Makers program, leads the PICO Makerspace in Jerusalem and directs PICO Kids events. Before joining PICO, Meidan founded a Photography and Videography studio in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Meidan also worked as a Program Manager for an NPO, where he managed computer centers for youth at risk in Jerusalem. Meidan graduated with a B.F.A. degree from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design.

Amy Sorensen

External Relations and Partnerships

Amy facilitates and oversees the partnerships and external relations at PICO Kids, focusing on the Ambassador International Delegations program, PR and global engagement opportunities. 
Amy has personal and professional experience in the non profit and philanthropy sector, having previously worked at the Gesher Leadership Institute, aiming to strengthen dialogue and relationships among emerging leaders in Israel and with their peers across the world, and currently serves on the board of Gesher.
In addition, Amy is a family member and trustee of the Nathan Cummings Foundation, based in the United States, focusing on tackling two of the largest issues of our times: climate change and inequality through grant making and impact investing in the U.S. and Israel.
Amy made aliya in 1994 from New York, to Jerusalem and has been a Jerusalemite ever since.

Adiele Keren-Tittman

Program and Mentor Coordinator

Adiele coordinates all programing and administration aspects at PICO Kids. Including student registration, marketing, facilitation and course logistics.
Adiele holds a BA in special education with a focus on theater and arts from David Yellin College. Previously Adiele worked in the Israeli education system in Israel, and has been with PICO Kids since 2017.
Adiele greets the children every day with a huge smile, she creates an inviting warm space for children to feel at home and encourages them to explore and express themselves!
